Accomplishments 2001
- With personal sponsorship money Michael competed on a limited basis in the Toyota Atlantic Championship:
- Qualified 6th and finished 4th at the Long Beach Grand Prix, California
- Qualified 2nd and finished 2nd (plus had the fastest race lap) at the Air Canada Grand Prix, Montreal
- Qualified 7th and finished 6th at the Molson Indy Toronto
- Qualified 4th and finished 4th at the Grand Prix de Trois Rivières
- Qualified 4th and finished 2nd at the Molson Indy Vancouver
- At the end of the year, Michael was selected for the prestigious fully-sponsored
Lynx Racing ride in the 2002 Toyota Atlantic Championship.
